Accessibility?
"Accessibility" is about ensuring that your organisation treats all customers equally, regardless of disability. Making your Web site accessible means making sure its content and functionality are fully available to disabled users.
The legal requirements
Although the moral and economic cases for maximising your site's accessibility are clear - don't forget that there's a legal case too: inaccessible sites are illegal. The two relevant pieces of UK legislation are:
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). Since October 1999 your organisation has been obliged to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people, such as making changes to the way it provides its services.
The Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (SENDA). For education providers, new duties came into effect in September 2002.

Accessibility issues are identified, and our rationale explained.
The importance of each issue is rated.
Where it helps, annotated screen shots are used.
At least one developer-ready solution is described for each accessibility issue.
Turn-around for accessibility consultancy projects is normally very quick; often within two to three days.
Accessibility training
Accessibility is not a fad; it's here to stay and will need to be factored into all of your organisation's future Web projects. For this reason, it may be more economical for your organisation to train its site developer and designers.
