Senior Basis Administrator / Business Systems Analyst providing system and security support for SAP ERP 6.0 on Oracle 10g and Sun Solaris 10.
Basis Project Team Lead for the SAP ERP 6.0 upgrade from SAP R/3 4.6C. Created the project plan and technical workplan for the upgrade. Coordinated the timeline of upgrading each SAP instance, unit and integration testing with the IT Functional team members and Business Process Owners. Upgraded the SAP Sun servers and hardware to V490’s and V890 for production, and switched over to a SAN storage solution from EMC. Assisted the DB and Unix Administrator with the migration of Informix to Oracle and Sun 32bit to Sun 64bit before the upgrade.
Setup Solution Manager to monitor all instances running SAP. Setup Early Watch Reporting from SAP instances back to Solution Manager. Created custom email alerts for short dumps, failed updates, and other system failures.
Created new security Roles in all modules of the software; Human Resources, Finance and Accounting. Controlling, Logistics, Basis, Supply Chain, Quality and Reliability, and Manufacturing to meet Sarbanes-Oxley and Internal Audit Controls.
