I received my PhD in Computer Science in 2002 from the University of Limburg (tUL), in the research group on theoretical computer science. From Januari 1st 2003 until September 30th 2004, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Basic Research Unit of the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, located at the department of Computer Science of the University of Helsinki. On August 23rd 2003, I became the proud father of Fien Goethals! On October 1st 2004, I moved back to the University of Antwerp,to join the ADReM research group. On September 25th 2006, I became the proud father of a second daughter Lina Goethals!
