The journal balances theory and applications with emphasis on practical applications to guide researchers and engineers in making use of computer-aided technologies in their day-to-day work. CoverageThe journal publishes papers in both the traditional areas as well as some new and emerging fields. Traditional topics covered by CAD&A are: Geometric, solid and heterogeneous modeling; CAD data bases, data exchange and standards; Virtual reality and processes in CAD; Applications of classical and computational geometry; Collaborative, conceptual and feature based design; Machining techniques, numerical control; Design computing, AI in design; Geometric and engineering tolerances; Meshes, FEA and discretization issues; Reverse engineering, rapid prototyping; and Process planning and assembly design.
