making chart updates a quick and easy task.

you from the tedious work of creating and altering charts. think-cell
chart is a
powerful charting package that integrates seamlessly with PowerPoint
and can be individually customized to respect and enforce your firm's
corporate design. With a minimum of manual adjustments, you get
accurate,
well-laid-out and standard-conformant charts. Furthermore, with
think-cell chart even occasional users can create and change charts 3
to 5 times faster than an expert when she must rely on PowerPoint
alone.
Direct link to Excel data
think-cell chart draws its data either from an internal Excel
sheet -- much like MS Graph's data sheet -- or from an arbitrary Excel
file. If data has changed, a simple command can update the entire
presentation.
The look and feel of all your charts is always the same, no
matter if
they are based on an internal data sheet or on data from a separate
Excel
file. You can continue editing a linked chart as usual, even when the
Excel file it is linked to is not available. You are free to rename
the concerned PowerPoint and Excel files or put them into a different
location -- the link does still work to update the charts. You can also
break an existing Excel link and keep the chart's data in the internal
data sheet; or create the chart based on the internal data sheet and
then link it to an Excel data range later.Supported
chart typesWaterfall chart (bridge chart, cascade
chart, stair case chart)
A waterfall chart visually explains a summation. Each column
represents an addend or a subtotal. Addends are connected by horizontal
lines. A summation is made up from a number of connected addends, which
may have positive or negative values. Waterfall charts may become quite
complex, with addends consisting of multiple segments, and with
dependencies not only between neighbouring columns, but between
arbitrary addends across the diagram.
You can easily create waterfall charts with think-cell chart.
Simply put in the values to add. Positive values build up, negative
values build down. For additional flexibility, you can interactively
reattach the reference connector of each segment to change the order of
summation. Subtotals are automatically calculated and updated
whenever the summation changes.
Marimekko chart (Mekko chart)
Marimekko charts are two-dimensional graphs that analyze
multiple data series against two variables, the X and Y axes. The
graphs are so named for their tapestry-like appearance. The Marimekko
graph can be used in many different industries. Its function is to
display a system of interrelated values so that both groups and
relative sizes of the elements can be seen at the same time. In a
Marimekko chart, the widths of the columns are proportional to data
represented by the columns. Individual segment height is a percentage
of the respective bar total value.
A Marimekko chart, sometimes called Mekko chart, is a
two-dimensional 100% chart, in which the width of a column is
proportional to the total of the column's values. Data input is similar
to a 100% chart, with data represented as either absolute values or
percentages of a given total.
Bubble chart / scatter chart
A scatter chart displays quantitative information using
markers. The data is plotted simultaneously against X and Y axis. One
or more data series may be displayed at a time, using markers of
different shapes. The graph shows uneven dispersal of data, or
clusters, and is frequently used for scientific data.
A bubble chart plots three variables simultaneously. The X and
Y coordinates demonstrate how one item varies in relation to another.
The third variable is bubble size, i.e., the area or radius of
a bubble is proportional to the value it represents. Bubble
charts have an advantage over line graphs because they display an
additional variable in the same chart.
In bubble charts and scatter charts putting each label in a
good place is
particularly difficult; especially, when the data must be updated
later. With
think-cell chart, the automatic labeling feature solves that problem
like a snap.
Gantt chart (project plan, timeline chart)
A Gantt chart is a type of scheduling chart that tracks
schedules, events, and steps necessary to complete a project. It shows
the steps involved in a project and their relationship over time. The
lengths of horizontal bars indicate the duration of each step.
This chart allows a group to document the progress made on the
implementation of a project.
think-cell chart is the only software that allows you to
create complex Gantt charts directly in
PowerPoint. The diagram is completely calendar-based and supports a
variety of decorations and labels.
Stacked chart (column chart, bar chart, butterfly chart)
Stacked bar charts have multiple data series stacked on top of
one another, so that the top data level represents the total for that
column. They are generally used to show how a larger component is
divided into smaller components and the effect of each component has on
the whole.
You can build sophisticated stacked column charts using
think-cell chart including value axis, automatic column breaks,
formatted numbers and a CAGR. You can simply access functionality by
the think-cell toolbar, the circular context menu and direct mouse
manipulations.
Clustered chart (butted chart)
Simple and cluster bar charts are bar charts designed to
display changes in data over time. A simple bar chart compares items
for one data series. A cluster bar chart compares two or more data
series plotted side-by-side. The bars are always in the same position
for each grouping throughout the graph, so comparisons may be made.
Clustered charts in think-cell chart feature the same
advanced options as stacked column and bar charts. Automatic breaks can
be added and modified to ensure the perfect visibility of smaller data
segments.
100% chart
Stacked bar charts have multiple data series stacked on top of
one
another, so that the top data level represents the total for that
column. A 100% stacked bar graph, instead of plotting actual values,
shows the percents of values relative to the total.
The think-cell chart data sheet is a fully-featured Excel
sheet. You can input either absolute values or percentages. To quickly
mark elements of the same type, you can use our intelligent logical
selection mechanism.
Pie chart
A pie chart shows the size of items that make up a data series
proportional to the sum of the items. Pie charts always show only one
data series and consist of a circle divided into wedged segments. It
shows the relative sizes of components to one another and to the whole
pie.
As all charts created with think-cell chart, the pie chart
supports sophisticated automatic labeling. You can rotate and explode
pie segments by simply dragging their handles to 0, 90, 180 or 270
degrees.
Line chart / area chart
A line chart shows trends in data over time of equal
intervals. It can display one or multiple data series.
An area chart displays how relative mixtures of a given
category change over time. By displaying the sum of the plotted values,
it shows the relationship of parts to a whole. Area graphs usually do
not display specific values, but rather show trends and relationships.
With think-cell chart, even line and area charts representing
a large amount
of data are effortlessly created. The more data you have, the more you
