DSTA (Defense Science and Technology Agency) has announced a robot competition called the Tech X Challenge, to take place in 2008. Rules. The only drawback is that the team leader (but not the team members) must be a resident of Singapore. You must submit your proposal by May 31, 2007. Robot limitations are 150 Kg and 2 m/s speed. The robot needs to walk up stairs, use an elevator, find a target, mark it, and retrace its route back to the starting point all in under one hour. Robotex, based in Palo Alto, California has introduced a new killer robot for the military. This little killer sports two Assault 12-gauge shotguns which can fire at up to 300 rounds per minute.
