as well begin with a general definition of what both are. The Internet can be
best described as a massive worldwide network of inter-connected computer networks.
The way they communicate is by a standard Internet Protocol (IP). The computer
networks which make up the overall 'Internet' consist of various information and
services like email (electronic mail), online games, file download, online chat,
and the World Wide Web (WWW) which is a system of inter linked Web pages. Quite
a few people mistakenly believe the Internet and the World Wide Web are the same
thing. This is not so, the Internet is the hardware and protocols which make up
the network of inter-connected computer networks. Whereas the World Wide Web is
a collection of inter-connected documents. Latest Term
- Smiley A smiley is most commonly used to convey an emotion in
text communications for chat programs and on the World Wide Web for bulletin boards.
They help convey a real life voice change or facial expression which are difficult
to perform in text messages. A message conceived as rude or insulting in text
can be transformed into a joke with a happy smiley logo. They are therefore very
useful to help people not misinterpret the intent of a text message. Below is
