It shapes its activities aroundFree/Open Source Software (FOSS) technologies and applications. Viathree centres of excellence – IOSN ASEAN+3, IOSN PIC (Pacific IslandCountries), and IOSN South Asia, based in Manila, Suva and Chennairespectively, the IOSN is tasked specifically to facilitate and networkFOSS advocates and human resources in the region. The vision is thatdeveloping countries in the Asia-Pacific Region can achieve rapid and sustainedeconomic and social development by using affordable yet effective FOSSICT solutions to bridge the digital divide.
